Weight Loss

Factor # 2: Our Daily Routines Have Transitioned From Working & Playing Outdoors To Working & Playing Indoors. (Read the first part of weight loss here)

Since the dawn of time, humans have primarily worked and played outdoors. It’s really only been since the invention of the light bulb that we began to move more and more activities indoors.

The body was designed to move, and with much of our daily lives having moved into small, confined spaces like houses and offices, we move around a LOT less than we used to.

Since we now burn off a lot less calories on a daily basis than we used to, these calories are now being stored as excess fat and is why so many of us are seeking weight loss solutions.

Daily exercise is a great way to get the body moving again and burn off those extra calories.

You really don’t have to drive to a gym to get what you need. Even in your own home you can simply alternate a combination of cardio exercises (heart pumping) and resistance training (using weights or resistance bands) to get your body in shape and obtain your weight loss goal.

Factor # 3: We Don’t Drink Enough Water.

Since the human body is about 70% water, it makes sense that our diet should include water on a daily basis as well. Unfortunately, our consumption of water has been replaced with coffee, tea, sodas and beer.

In addition to the importance that water plays in many of the body’s functions, it also has an impact on weight loss in two specific ways.

First, when your body is dehydrated, it often communicates this with a feeling of being hungry. You would think that you would feel thirsty, but it appears that many of us experience this warning sign as hunger and we end up eating extra calories instead of drinking water.

Second, when your body doesn’t get enough water regularly, it can’t flush out any excess toxins that are building up in the body. This is particularly bad if you’re trying to lose weight, because the body stores excess toxins in the fatty areas of the body where they are less harmful.

When you don’t drink enough water, the body is resistant to getting rid of extra fat since it’s using it to store the excess toxins.

By drinking more water, the body can often flush out these toxins and begin burning the excess fat that it now no longer needs to protect itself from those toxins.

Regarding water, steam distilled water is by far the best water for drinking. It is the purest form of water and is perfect for taking nutrients to all the cells of the body and for picking up the waste and toxins and removing them.

Avoid mineral waters and water with added vitamins. Water is like a train carrying a chain of boxcars. If the boxcars are already partially filled, they won’t be as effective in removing toxins from your body. Steam distilled water is “empty” water, ready to do its work.

Work on these three things and you will see success in your weight loss attempts. You don’t have to kill yourself, just begin working on each until you reach your weight loss goal.

If you are the type that likes to learn about the science of how your body gains and loses weight, we highly recommend a book called “Fat Chance by Dr. Robert Lustig” If you believe that his ideas work like we do, then you will also want to check out “Fat Chance CookBook by New Health CookBooks.” The recipes in this cookbook will help you create some of the best tasting meals we have found, and they are perfect for anyone who follows a low-sugar high-fiber diet plan – Highly recommended!
